Triquestra ready to take on point of sale world

By Kate Palmer, New Zealand Reseller 07 April 2006

RETAIL software developer Triquestra is primed for growth within New Zealand and in an increasing number of offshore markets. Newly installed general manager Kelly Brown describes her company as a developer and distributor of integrated retail management and point of sale (POS) software.

“Retail is extremely diverse so these days we are doing a lot more custom development. It’s also a market that is growing at a rate of knots”, she says.

Triquestra’s Auckland office houses 15 employees, with another 15 representing the company in international markets including the UK, USA and Canada.

The company has partnered with fellow Auckland software house and SAP business partner Enprise to resell its flagship Infinity POS product overseas.

Brown says Triquestra is doing a lot of business offshore, despite the challenge of setting up in new markets.

“The hardest thing is finding partners that understand retail software and solutions. We tend to go with a strong distributor in each region and are working with Enprise to identify SAP Business One resellers.”

While Brown looks at the overall picture Lee Edwards has joined the company as national sales manager to focus on the local market through direct sales and Triquestra’s New Zealand channel.

Edwards, who gained his retail experience at Provenco, says there is high demand for quality solutions.

“The retail environment is becoming as competitive as any other sector and that’s where Triquestra can make a difference,” he says.

Edwards adds that Triquestra is now offering professional consulting services to retailers.
