Nicole McKenzie appointed as Head of Global Sales

By Paul Broekhuyse, The Australian 25 November 2008

RETAIL software specialist Triquestra International has appointed Nicole McKenzie as global sales head.

She will be responsible for driving channel sales in markets outside Australasia, especially the US, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.

Triquestra chief executive Kelly Brown says McKenzie's is the second senior sales appointment in two months, reflecting Triquestra's growth in several key markets.

In September, Triquestra appointed Michael Gravina as Australian sales manager, responsible for strategic expansion and partner development.

McKenzie has 21 years of experience working in sales and solution-based businesses.

She has held senior management and sales positions for technology companies, as well as acquiring and building her own business, Trinity Design.

Before Trinity, Ms McKenzie was managing director of Sato New Zealand, where she had also been sales manager. She joined Sato when it purchased Walker Datavision in June 2006.

At that time McKenzie was general manager of Walker Datavision.

McKenzie says it's a time of great opportunity for the retail sector.

"In today's challenging market, smart use of technology will be critical to helping retailers drive down inventory costs, and manage supply chains more effectively while delivering a superior customer experience," she says.

"Visionary retailers will also be looking for integrated software that works across channels and creates a consistent experience for customers no matter how they shop, while also producing back office efficiencies."

Triquestra provides point-of-sale and integrated systems to the global retail industry. Its Infinity Retail Management System has more than 2500 customers in 12 countries.

Local customers include Angus and Robertson, Telecom New Zealand, Cue, Landmark and Pumpkin Patch.
